Celebrating the life of James Current Jr., born April 3, 1952 to the late James and Virginia Current in addition to his sister Vanella who loved and cared for her little brother like her own. James was raised in Church and gave his life to Jesus Christ at an early age.

He was a dedicated worker in public transportation. In his spare time James enjoyed fishing, playing his guitar, or regaling family and friends with all forms of humor and love. James was the true definition of a fun uncle and loving brother.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving sisters Vanella Current Taylor ,Muskogee, Ok;, Debbie Knowles  Memphis, Tennessee;, and Patricia Current Pollard, Tulsa, Oklahoma, brothers Ronnie Current and Donnie Current both of Muskogee, Ok and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Virginia Current, sisters Barbara Ann Yarbrough, Betty Thomas, Sherri Ann Current, Susie Mae Barnes, Melvina Current and brothers John Harper Sr., Mac McCool Sr.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, April 19, 2024, 5:00 p.m., House of Winn Funeral Home, Precious Memories Chapel 2200 Military Blvd. Muskogee, OK; with Minister John Harper offering Words of Comfort. Visitation will be Thursday, 1:00pm until 4:00 pm
