James R. Savage, 61, a resident of Muskogee, passed away, Saturday. March 9, 2013 in MRMC.
A baby boy way born on July 31, 1951 to Wyman and Shirley Savage. They named him James Richard Savage. James was the third of eight siblings.
He attended Haskell High School. He gave himself to Christ at an early age.
James was a laborer. He was a loving man, who enjoyed his family, friends and watching television.
He leaves to cherish his memories three daughters, Keyona (Michael) Goodrum, Tulsa, OK; Tiffany Savage, Muskogee, OK; Shawuan Savage, Muskogee, OK; one son, Cornell (Aisha) Sheppard, Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren, Kynadie, Madyson, Makynlee, and Jaqorian, three brothers, Donald, Anson, and Trent, two sisters, Jane Ross, and Brenda Davis, along with nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss him dearly.
A home going celebration will be conducted Friday, March 15, 2013, Eastside First Baptist Church, with Rev. Larry Pouncil, eulogizing. Interment will follow in Booker T. Washington Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, 1-6 p.m.
The family has been cared for the Winn family at Granger-House of Winn Funeral Home.
