Jeffery Jones, age 51, a sports referee and resident of Muskogee, OK; transitioned, Friday,Dec. 6,2013.

On December 25, 1961 a baby boy was born to Walker and Shirley (Madison) Jones. Jeffery "Sickwidthhumor" Bernard Jones was brought into this world on such a special day, the day we celebrate our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan where he graduated from Central High School.
Jeff went to college at Langston University and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. He became a proud Brother of the Alpha Phi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Phi Fraternity Inc while he was at Langston. He also met the love of his life, Karen Moore at Langston. Jeff and Karen went their separate ways after college but kept in contact through a long distance relationship. On January 11, 1990 they confessed their love before God, family and friends. Later he attained his Master of Business Administration Technology Management degree from the University of Phoenix. He also became a member of the Trinity Lodge 84 - Prince Hall Mason's. Jeffery was a Commander and Chief 32nd Degree. He wore many hats retail manager, professional truck driver, and construction worker. He worked along with his brother Brian at the family business, Andrew's landscaping. He was co-owner of Kinfolk's Kitchen with his cousin Alan Thompson. He was also a sporting official for basketball, softball, and baseball which was what he loved doing until he passed. He had many honors and accomplishments. He was inducted into the Outstanding Young Men of America. He held the esteemed title of a past Potentate of Hira Temple 116. He also was the treasurer with the Trinity Lodge 84 - Prince Hall Mason's.
Jeff was a member of Mt. Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Porter, OK. He had a personal relationship with God. That is why God felt the need to have him closer to Him for face to face entertainment! On December 6, 2013 at the age of 51, God called his name and told him it was time to come home.
Jeff had four beautiful children during his life. His children were his everything. He was a great provider, counselor and father. He loved God, his family but right after that is golf! He loved hunting, fishing, spending time with family and friends and playing poker. He was a diehard Detroit Pistons and Detroit Lions fan! If the game was on he was watching them play. His outreach was social networking through Facebook. That is where you could get sound advice, a laugh, real talk and more than a few jokes. He always loved making JB Creation Photos and making slideshows for any occasion and for anyone. He was in a bowling league with his father and brother. He never met a stranger because he cracked jokes about you even if he didn't know you. He taught life lessons to his children and family. He loved traveling with his family. His favorite thing to do was sitting in the room watching movies with his wife.
Jeff was a man of truth. He was not afraid to tell you the truth to your face and that's why everyone loved him. He always told you if you are going to borrow something from him you better put it back where you got it from. Jeff was a rare person and he would always help others even if they were family or strangers and he never asked for much in return but to pass on the blessing. If you were having a bad day he was always there for you and was there to lift your spirits and make your day better. Jeff was truly an outstanding man, an amazing husband and an exceptional father to his children. He is looking down at us and asking, "Why are you crying? Keep alive my memory and we'll never have to part, for when you feel you need me I'll be there.....inside your heart."
He was preceded in death by his father, Walker Jones; his brother, Brian Jones and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
