On January, 9 1971 in Muskogee, Oklahoma a baby boy was born to the union of Jody Cecil Jones and Bessie Mae Myers Jones. He was given the name Jody Cecil Jones, Jr.  He was the first child born to this loving couple.

Jody received Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age.

Jody received his education in Muskogee Public Schools. He was a laborer who worked in various fields.  He was last employed with Incor and Muskogee Juvenile Center.

Jody loved horses and rodeo's. He was affectionately called, "Joe Dog" by his rodeo colleagues and friends.

Later in life he married the love of his life, Pethi Mayo, after 25 years of off and on dating.

Jody went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, December 23, 2017.

Preceding him in death are his grandparents, Louis and Henryetta Island Myers, Sr., Lillie Mae Jones, his father, Jody Cecil Jones, Sr., brother, Louis Jones and aunt, Loretta Hickman.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory, his devoted wife, Pethi Jones, of the home, mother, Bessie Jones, Muskogee, OK; brother, Henry (Keatha) Jones, Memphis, TN; in-laws, Larry (Shirley) Mayo, Muskogee, OK; a sister-in-law, Dorlisa Mayo, Lanett, AL; his children, grandchildren, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and a host of friends that will miss him.

A Home Going Service is scheduled Saturday, December 30, 2017, 2:00 p.m., Taft Resource Center, 208 W. Seminole, Taft, OK; with Rev. Michael Logan, eulogizing.  Interment will follow in Blackjack Cemetery, Taft, OK.

Visitation will be Friday, 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.  A Wake service will begin at 5:00 p.m. and conclude at 7:00 p.m.
