John Manous, 60, laborer, a resident of Oklahoma City, formerly of Okmulgee, OK; transitioned into his new home in Glory, July 29, 2015 at Integris Southwest Medical Center, Oklahoma City, OK.
John Currie Manous was born to Jesse Carl and Wilma Lee Manous on February 7, 1956. He was the sixth of thirteen children.
John attended public schools in Oklahoma City, OK; and OSU Technical School in Okmulgee, OK.
John peacefully went to meet the Lord, July 29, 2015.
He will also greeted by both parents and three brothers.
He leaves to cherish his memories, three brothers, Howard (Wanda), District Elder Larry Manous (Liz), Oklahoma City, OK; and Verdell Smith (Felicia), Bartlesville, OK; six sisters, Lonzetta Fonteno, Stella Barnett (Bill), Diane Manous, Okmulgee, OK; Vanessa Goudeau, Fayetteville, AR; Carmelia Wheaton, LaPetra Stevens, Tulsa, OK; and a adopted sister, Benethra Robinson, Okmulgee, OK; two aunts, Elizabethn Miller, Beggs, OK; Bernadyne Antwine, Tulsa, OK and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
A Home Going service will be conducted on Thursday, August 6, 2015, 3:00 p.m. In Precious Memories Chapel, House of Winn Funeral Home, 607 East Fifth Street, Okmulgee, OK. Interment will follow in Nuyaka Cemetery.
Visitation Wednesday 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
The family has been cared for by House of Winn Funeral Home.
