Obituary

John Thomas Patrick Jr. was born to John Thomas Sr. and Oral Lee Ellis Patrick, January 16 th , 1930. He was born and raised in Okmulgee County. He attended Prairie View Schools. After school he went on to become a construction worker and worked for the railroads.

At an early age he accepted Christ and was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church. Later in life he was a faithful member of First Baptist South Church of Beggs, OK until death. He was also a member of New Beginnings Church of God and Christ for a short period of time under the leadership of Elder Jackie Jones.

He enjoyed singing, dancing and tending to his farm. He was one of the first members of the Beggs Round Up Club. In his own special way he was a dedicated family man and loved family gatherings.

John was preceded in death by his parents, two children, Larry Don Patrick and Rex Allen Patrick, and four sisters; Veola Stein, Maxine Stella, Bertha Willis and Clarece Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memory 6 children; Wilma Johnson of Tulsa, OK, Thomasinea (Claude) Weaver of Dallas, TX, Travis (Patricia) Patrick Sr. of Oklahoma City, OK, Lena Surick of Tulsa, OK, Ronnie Patrick of California and LaDonna Patrick of Sands Spring, OK; He also has 6 sisters to continue his legacy; Velma Bagby, Irene Crenshaw, Yvonne Sanders, Wilma Yarbrough, Vella Clayton and Geneva Hanson; grandchildren, Marvell Patrick, Scottie Widen Patrick, Tarivs Patrick Jr., Jennen Brown, Jamile Bailey, Josh Weaver, Christopher Weaver, Donato Patrick, Rodgell Howell, and Myron Patrick.

A Service of Memory will be conducted, Tuesday, May 21, 2019 in First Baptist Church South, 8150 Highway 16, Beggs, OK at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will follow in Beggs cemetery.  Visitation, Monday, 1:00 P.M. until 6 P.M. in the Precious Memories Chapel at House of Winn Funeral Home-Okmulgee.

The family has been cared for, by House of Winn Funeral Home-Okmulgee.
