John Henry Walker was born on August 27, 1928 in Oktaha, OK; to John & Verna Walker.

He united with New Hope Baptist Church, Oktaha, OK; at an early age.  John graduated from Dubois High School, Summit, OK; in 1948 and then he attended Wiley College in Marshall, TX.  He moved to Fresno, CA; where he was drafted into the United States Army in 1950.  John was injured in Korea and discharged in December of 1950.

He married Rose Mucker, this union had two sons, Johnny and Ronald Lee.  This marriage later dissolved. He went onto marry Paralee Peterson Jones and they raised Johnny & Ronald Lee.

He went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, January 29, 2026.

John was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Paralee and his siblings.

Those left to cherish John's memory include, Theodore Jones, Jr., Johnny Walker and Ronald Walker, his grandchildren, Jamie Walker, Dallas, TX; LaShon Spencer and great granddaughter, McKensie Lee, both of Frisco, TX; his bonus daughter, Linda Spencer, Kansas City, MO; a great niece, Natalie Robinson, DeSoto, TX; along with a host of other relatives and friends that will miss him.

A Home Going Service is scheduled Saturday, February 7, 2026, 11:00 a.m., New Hope Baptist Church, 12358 S 40th West, Oktaha, OK; with Pastor Michael Logan delivering the eulogy.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service.  Interment will be Monday, February 9, 2026, 10:00 a.m., Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, OK; with military honors performed by Ft. Sill Honors team.

The family has been cared for by House of Winn-Muskogee.
