"When You Hear Of My Homegoing, Don't Worry About Me" Joseph Leon Payne, Jr, age 68, a resident of Morris, OK transitioned on Thursday, January 27, 2023 in St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, OK.

OBITUARY

Joseph Leon Payne Jr., was born to Erma Jean Payne and Joseph O.G. Payne Sr. on August 2, 1954, in Boynton, Oklahoma.  He was the only child born to Erma Jean and Joseph O.G. Payne.

Leon accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age.  After graduating from High School, Leon joined the Army for two years and decided to return home to reside with his parents.

Later in life he married and a daughter was born by the name of Tiffany Lynn Payne.  Leon worked for Tulsa Cable for numerous years.  Leon was proud of being a father to his only child Tiffany, he enjoyed life, he loved dogs, and spending time with his friends and family.

After his dad Joseph O.G. Payne Sr. passed, Leon decided to move home and take care of his mother Erma Jean Payne, and  he also decided to answer God's calling and go home.

Leon leaves behind his loving mother Erma Jean Payne, daughter Tiffany Lynn Payne and a host of cousins, friends and family.  Leon will be forever missed.

A Sacred Farewell is scheduled, Saturday, February 4, 2023, 1:00 pm, Lone Tree Baptist Church, Boynton, OK with Pastor Stacey Phillips, eulogizing.  Interment will follow in Grave Creek Cemetery, Morris, OK. Visitation will be Friday, February 3, 2023, 1pm until 5pm, Precious Memories Chapel, House of Winn Funeral Home-Okmulgee.
