Joyce Sample Lovett, 57, homemaker, a resident of Oktaha, OK; transitioned, Friday, November 20, 2015.

On January 13, 1958., Joyce Marie Lovett was born to Joseph and Maxine (Sample) Lovett II.

Joyce grew up in Tulsa, OK. She attended Tulsa Public Schools until her teacher felt she couldn't keep up. Joyce was sent to Hissom Memorial Center until the age of eighteen. She returned home to be with her mother, spending a lot of time in the country.

She was a joy to the family and will truly be missed. She loved watching her favorite TV shows, The Price is Right, and Lets Make A Deal. Joyce loved playing with her cards. Wherever she went so did the cards.

Joyce health began to fail so the family brought her and Maxine to the country to care for them. At home, Joyce was having the time of her life. She loved sitting on the porch capturing the scenery. Joyce, even got to ride the four-wheeler with her uncle Marvin, and she loved it! During this time the family was able to witness a miracle, Joyce started talking after nearly twenty years.

Joyce went home to be with the Lord, November 20, 2015.

She is preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her mother, Maxine Alexander, brother, Joseph Lovett II, a host of aunts, uncles, a special niece, Sierra Lovett, cousins, a special aunt, Betty Cotner and a special uncle, Marvin Sample who gave Joyce loving care and support for years.

A Home Going service will be conducted Saturday, November 28, 2015, 1:00 p.m., New Hope Baptist Church, Oktaha, OK; with Rev. David McCray, eulogizing. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
