Wherefore, it has pleased our Lord and Savior to call from labor to reward our beloved Juanita Craig who departed this life on August 30, 2017 in Kansas City, MO at the Research Medical Center.
Juanita was born to the late Clarence Scott Sr. and Mama Jessie Scott on March 15, 1928. She was the youngest of three children, her siblings, Carl Scott Jr. (deceased) and Bernice Scott (deceased).
Juanita was educated in Muskogee Public School and accepted he Lord in her life at an early age. The spiritual teachings she received was maintained throughout her life as she remained steadfast in her faith and sought through her actions to magnify Christ.
Juanita had children, Michele Lela Parker (deceased) and Gregory Mike (deceased) and daughter Carrie M. Jackson. Juanita loved life. She adored being a homemaker and taking care of her children and other family members. She took great pleasure in entertaining her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and watching her favorite programs on tv.
Juanita is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, siblings, her children, and several uncles and aunts.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Carrie M. Jackson, niece, Lutheria Sells, and nephew, Carl Scott III. Ten grandchildren, Emile Smith (Drew), LaNeshia Smith, Shehan Parker, Amber Mike, Alela Smith, Donald Bridges, Lanier Bridges, Fred Bridges, Tiffany Bridges, and John Bridges. A host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, family members and friends.
A Home Going Celebration is scheduled Friday, September 8, 2017, 11:00 a.m. Living Gospel Fellowship Church, 1416 Wewoka St., Muskogee, OK. Interment will follow in Booker T. Washington Cemetery, Muskogee, OK.
Visitation will be Thursday, 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
The family has been cared for by House of Winn Funeral Homes.
