Kartherine Dixon, 60, certified nursing assistant, a resident of Muskogee, OK; transitioned into her heavenly home, Wednesday, September 16, 2015 in St. John Health System surrounded by family.
Kaleb and Peggy (Ford) Jackson were blessed with a baby girl on January 25, 1955. They named their blessing, Katherine Jackson.
Katherine was a Certified Nursing Assistant and a caregiver. Later in life she worked at Mister Chicken and Fish where she became family and worked there until they closed.
Katherine was blessed with three children, Peggy, Thomas and Tyreace Jackson.
In the early morning of September 16, 2015 God called Katherine home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Tyreace and step-daughter, Dasha Jackson, and brother, Walter L. Brewer.
She leaves to cherish her memory and rejoice in her home going a loving husband, Billy Dixon, daughter, Peggy Lynn & son-in-law, Calvin Lee Lewis Sr., son, Thomas J. Jackson, step-son, D`Andrew, grandchildren, J.J., C.J., Kyle and Malcolm, Delani, Saharah and Alyssa, 5 great-grandchildren she loved dearly, her best friend, Kathy Lopez, loving mother-in-law, Nathella, her caregivers, Amy and Theresa from River Cross Hospice, along with a host of sister-in-law's, nieces, nephews, family and friends that loved her and will miss her.
A Home Going service will be conducted Thursday, September 24, 2015, 11:00 a.m., Turning Point New Deliverance, 502 N. Ninth Street, Muskogee, OK; Pastor Jacque Harris, eulogist. Interment will follow in Sandtown Cemetery, Wagoner, OK.
Visitation will be Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
The family has been cared for by Granger-House of Winn Funeral Home.
