Kenneth L. Parker, 69, a resident of the city, transitioned, Saturday, Dec. 28,2013.
Kenneth Lawrence Parker was born on September 14, 1944 to Travis Parker and Maxine (Wilson) Parker in Okmulgee, OK.
He attended Dunbar High School and OSUIT. Kenneth retired as a cook at OSUIT.
He was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he loved to sing in the brotherhood choir.
Kenneth entered his eternal rest on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK.
Preceding him in death was: his parents, and his only brother Travis Parker, Jr.
He leaves to mourn two sisters: Linda Parker, and Carol Parker Smith, both of Okmulgee.
A Home Going service will be conducted, Thursday, January 2, 2014, 11:00 a.m., in Okmulgee Cemetery, with Rev. David Burks, eulogizing.
Visitation will be Wednesday, 1 – 6 p.m.
The family has been cared for by the Winn family at House of Winn Funeral Home.
