The Life Story of Kimberly Loretta Haley

Kimberly Loretta was born on September 29th, 1968.  Kimberly was the fourth daughter born to the marriage of Elder Ray and Pastor Lois Hester. Kimberly was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and received the precious gift of the Holy Spirit at an early age. She received her salvation at Unity Temple of the Apostolic Faith under the leadership of the late Bishop Gaston Staten Sr.  At Unity Temple she enjoyed singing in the youth choir and being active in her church.

Kimberly, affectionately referred to as Kim-Kim by her sisters had an incredible sense of humor and loved being spoiled by her family. Kim was a very kind and compassionate person.  She made friends wherever she went.

Kimberly attended Detroit Public Schools and in June of 1986 she graduated from Mumford High School.  She also attended Oakland Community College in Oak Park, Michigan. In 1987 Kimberly relocated with her parents to Okmulgee, Oklahoma and studied psychology at ORU University. She was a member of the Souls A' Fire gospel choir of ORU University.

She was an employee at Avis-rent a car where she met the love of her life Dietrick Haley.  They were joined in holy matrimony on October 16, 1998.  Kimberly was the proud mother of 2 children Bryant Lewis and Brionna Renee, whom she affectionately referred to as Nook and Bre-Bre.

Kimberly enjoyed gourmet cooking and interior decorating as she loved to decorate her home. She enjoyed watching family movies & eating popcorn and playing games. Kim loved to go out to dinner and fellowship.

Kimberly was an active member of Praise and Worship Apostolic Church that was founded by her parents Pastor Lois and Elder Ray Hester in 1988, where she diligently worked alongside them. Kim was an anointed minister, worship leader and psalmist. The Lord gave her the gift of writing worship songs and she penned over 100 songs and melodies.

In 2014 Elder Ray Hester gave leadership of Praise and Worship Apostolic Church to Pastors Rudelle Israel & Terri Brown, where Kimberly had remained a faithful member.  In 2000 Kimberly and Dietrick were ordained as ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  On September 4, 2017, they were promoted to Elders of the church. Kimberly preached the word of God, led worship, prayed for the sick and ministered in any way that was needed.

A song that was dear to her heart was "You are my strength" by William Murphy. She was especially anointed when ministering this song as it rang true in her spirit.

Kim was a prayer warrior and would often declare and pray out Psalm 27, it was her weapon.

On Tuesday April 18th the Lord called Kimberly home to be with him. Kim was preceded in death by her Parents Ray and Lois Hester and her daughter Brionna Renee Haley.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband Dietrick Haley and her precious son Bryant Whittaker.  Her sisters Diane (Curtis Sr) Lowe, Denise (Grady) Coleman, Dolores (Spencer) Graddy, Alice (Neal) Washington, Linda Jones, her brother Ray (Gwen) Hester Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
