Larry Donnell Grizzard the oldest child of Barbara Sue (Grizzard) Freeman and Larry Tarver transitioned from his earthly home to his eternal home April 27, 2024. Larry was born on November 25, 1980 in Oklahoma City, OK to Larry Tarver and Barbara Sue (Grizzard) Freeman.

Larry was raised and nurtured in the home of his mother and stepfather Anthony Freeman and by his father Larry Tarver. Larry accepted Christ at an early age and joined Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. Larry attended John Marshall High School after that Larry became a Manager at Sonic's for several years until his health began to fail.

Larry was preceded in death by his daughter Larrissa Grizzard, his mother Barbara Sue (Grizzard) Freeman, his stepfather Anthony Freeman, his nephew Jeremy Carter Jr., his grandparents Ceola and Argenal ( Gentry) Walls, JB Grizzard, Robert and Nettie Tarver, uncles Marlow Walls, Robert Lee, Ray, Cyrus, aunt Michelle Tarver, his great aunts Shirley, Linda, Pearlie Mae Grizzard, his cousins Argeneal Stevenson, and Avril Stevens.

Larry leaves to cherish his memory, 5 loving daughters Savannah, Kyley, Jokhia, Cornyiah, Marcshya and 6 sons Kyrese, KeAunte, Larry Jr., William, Kameron, Ayden and Kyson. 4 grandchildren and his significant other, Ola Tillman, 3 step children Josiah, Naomi, Valarie all of Oklahoma City, OK;, his father Larry Tarver, Oklahoma City, OK; sister Reese Carter (Jeremy), Checotah, OK; brothers Anthony Grizzard Sr, and Marco Johnson, Oklahoma City, OK; special cousin Shenika Bond, Oklahoma City, OK; Grandmother Patricia Grizzard, aunts Jackelyn Pearson, Cheryl Arledge (Tommy), Sandra Wales (Dean), Kristy Finley (Jeff) all of Oklahoma City, OK; and Cleda Keddington (Brooks) of Tulsa, OK Jacqueline Marie Warrior of Pierce, OK; uncle James Grizzard of Arizona; Kevin Grizzard (Yolonda) Oklahoma City, OK; Kenneth Grizzard (Charece) of South Carolina; a host of special nieces, nephews, other friends and relatives. Larry loved fishing with Ola and his children and hanging out with his friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled Saturday, May 11, 2024, 2:00 p.m., First Freewill Baptist Church 713 North Broadway Checotah, OK; with his uncle Rev. Kenneth Grizzard, eulogizing. Interment will follow in Paradise Cemetery, Checotah, OK.  Visitation will be Friday 1:00-4:00 p.m.
