Larry Charles Love was born September 1, 1948 in Okmulgee, OK; to the proud parents of Joe Love and Essie Mae Cowans.
Larry grew up in Okmulgee, OK; and attended Okmulgee Public Schools. After graduating from high school, Larry enlisted in the United States Army and served his country honorably until May of 1970.
On January 15, 2008, he married his high school sweetheart Claudetta James.
Larry was blessed with two daughters, Toy Love and Cheryl Lewis, one son, Marshall Vann and two bonus children, Gregory Taylor and Maya Irving.
He was an avid fisherman. Larry loved taking his grandson, Cruz fishing. He also enjoyed traveling the country with Claudetta capturing memories. Larry was also known to try his luck at various casinos in hopes to strike it rich.
Larry departed his earthly home, June 10, 2024.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his brothers, Bobby Love, Gus Love, Claud Love, Joe Harold Cowans, Earl Ray Cowans and Clay Cowans, his sisters, Susie Love, Winnipeg Cowans, Cleo Cowans and Joella Sanford.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of the home, Claudetta, his children, Toy, Cheryl (Mike), Marshall, Greg and Maya, siblings, Otis Love (Joyce), Faye Bush, Sharon LittleJohn, Ola Mae Love, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and tons of friends that will miss him.
Larry will always be remembered by his jovial spirit, his infectious laugh, big personality and his love for his family.
A Home Going Service is scheduled Friday, June 21, 2024, 11:30 a.m. House of Winn Funeral Home, "Precious Memories Chapel", 607 E. 5th Street, Okmulgee, OK; with Pastor Charles Williams delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in Ft. Gibson National Cemetery, Ft. Gibson, OK; with military honors performed by Ft. Sill honors team. Visitation will be Thursday, 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
