Obituary

Laura LeBlance, 93, a long time resident of Okmulgee, passed away, Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012 in
Highland Park Manor Nursing Home.

Laura LeBlanc, 93, peacefully passed, Sunday, October 28, 2012 in Okmulgee, OK. She was born August 8, 1919, the fifth child of Thomas and Mary Penn.

She later met and married Melvin LeBlanc on February 19, 1944 and to this union nine children were born.

She leaves to mourn eight children, Melvin LeBlanc, San Francisco, CA; Betty Richardson, Detroit, MI; Doris Harris, Tulsa, OK; Calvin LeBlanc, Detroit, MI; Troy LeBlanc, Okmulgee, OK; Joseph LeBlanc, Detroit, MI;
Elneeda Motte, Glenpool, OK; Bernadine Woody, Las Vegas, NV; and one brother, James Penn, Oklahoma City, OK; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son, and 11 siblings. Laura was a loyal and active member of Uganda Martyrs Catholic Church. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Peter Claver for 44 years.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated, Saturday, November 3, 2012, 3:00 p.m., Uganda Martyrs Catholic Church, with Father Khiet Nguyen the celebrant.

Visitation will be Friday, 1- 6 p.m. Rosary recited Friday at 7:15 p.m. in Precious Memories Chapel. Interment will be on Monday, November 5, 2012
at 10:00 a.m. in Ft. Gibson National Cemetery
