Obituary

LaVienia Ann Jackson was born in Denver, Colorado, June 7, 1951, to the proud parents of Mr. Everette Vernon Edwards (Eddie) and LaVerne UL May Ivory Scott. LaVienia attended Horse Mann Jr. High School and graduated from East High School in Denver, Colorado. LaVienia worked for Denver Regional Transportation Services as a bus driver and Safeway Bakery as head baker until her retirement.

LaVienia was gifted with many talents such as Hair Stylist, Seamstress, Baker, and Cook. Of all her talents cooking was her passion.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and any family that enjoyed her presence. She was very outspoken and did not mind saying what she felt. LaVienia moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma in 2018 to be near her sister Kim June whom she loved dearly. LaVienia was blessed to be loved by extended family friends that grew to know and love her, and she spent a lot of her time while living in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

She often hosted gatherings and cooked for all her neighbors on her block. She appreciated all the support, love, and acceptance she received from all that loved her. She was blessed to have bonded with a special extended family friend known as her Buddy Pal "Roslyn Brown." When you saw one, you saw the others out doing what they loved, shopping on the weekends and treating each other to coffee or lunch.

She spoke of how she loved him so much and was happy that he was finding his place in the world. She often talked about all her grandchildren and how they all enjoyed it when she would cook pancakes, and her famous oatmeal to the point they wanted to eat these meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. She spoke of her grandchildren and how she loved them so much and wished all the new children being born into the family could know one another. She knew that family was an important big part of our history. She would tell stories of how her grandparents were very loving and would pray with them whenever they would visit.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son Everette Scott, his partner Nichola S. Warren and her grandchildren whom she enjoyed spending time with and loved with all her heart. And her many nieces and nephews. All her siblings, Denise Edwards, Kim June, Sharelle Pankey, and husband (Edgar Pankey). Brother, Vernon Edwards, (Wife, Linda Edwards). And many hosts of loving extended family friends (Roslyn Brown and Sharilyn Wagner) are here to cherish her memory. She will be missed by all who loved her.
