Lawrence McNac, 86, a long time resident of Checotah, OK
passed away, Wednesday, July 22,2015 in his home, surrounded by family.
Lawrence McNac was born on March 5, 1929 in Ft. Gibson, OK to David McNac and Emma Thompson. He was the fifth child. Lawrence attended Rentiesville High School and later the United States Army and served his three years and completed his term.
Lawrence met Dorothy Escoe and to this union one son was born, Michael McNac. Late in life, Lawrence met Corine Warrior and married in 1954 and to this union four children were born, Rhonda McNac, Lavenia McNac, David McNac and Tammy McNac. He also fathered step-children, Lester Littles, Esther Dan and Chester Holiday.
Lawrence gave his life to Christ Jesus in 1978.
Enjoying his grandchildren and niece, Glendale Craig, nephews, James Johnson, Duane Warrior, Luches Warrior Jr., Donald Warrior and a host of great-nieces and nephews.
A Home going Celebration will be conducted Saturday, July 25, 2015, 1:00 p.m. Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 212 East Park Ave, Checotah, OK; Rev. George Johnson, eulogist. Interment will follow in Warrior Cemetery, Pierce, OK.
Visitation will be Friday, 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
The family has been cared for by Granger-House of Winn Funeral Home.
