Lenard Richardson, 78, disabled veteran, a resident of Okmulgee, OK; transitioned, Friday, June 19, 2015, in his home surrounded by family.

Lenard Richardson was born, July 18, 1936 in Okmulgee, OK; to the proud parents, Helen and James Richardson. He was the oldest of four children.

Lenard attended and graduated from Okmulgee Public Schools. After his education Lenard enlisted in the United States Navy, in August 1954 until he was honorably discharged in September 1977.

Lenard was affectionately known to his family and friends as "Steppa". He was kind soft spoken, but a stern man. He love to walk and he love the outdoors.

Steppa help raise a lot of children in Okmulgee. He enjoyed listening to music, and playing pool.

Lenard went home to be with the Lord, June 19, 2015.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one child, Thalia Richardson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Angelar (Richardson) Goudeau, Tyuna (Miguel) Smith, Karen Richardson, one sister, Rebecca Hill, Okmulgee, OK; two brothers, James Richardson, Jr.,, Oklahoma City, OK; Lonnell Richardson, Sun Valley, CA; 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren along with

A Home Going Celebration will be conducted Saturday, June 27, 2015, 11:00 a.m., Conversion Ministries Church, 1330 E. Martin Luther King, Okmulgee, OK; with Rev. Greg Richardson, eulogizing. Interment will be Monday, June 29, 2015, 11:00 a.m. in Ft. Gibson National Cemetery, Ft. Gibson, OK.

Visitation will be Friday, 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

The family has been cared for by House of Winn Funeral Home.
