When I must leave you a little while

Levertha Bird Walker was born on June 18, 1939 to Charlie Bird and Martha (Williams) Bird in Okmulgee, OK. Along with her other siblings, Logie, Edmond, Thomas, Monroe, Willie and Lela Bird Dean.

Levertha attended Rosenwald School in Henryetta, OK; and she graduated from Nuyaka High School, Nuyaka, OK; and received some secondary education years later.

She professed a love for Christ at an early age.

She met and married Elmer Walker.  To this union, their daughter,  Angela Walker was born.

Levertha loved working in her yard and seeing her two favorite pets, Scrappy and Goldie.

Levertha went home to be with the Lord, December 29, 2024

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers and sister.

She leave to cherish her memories, her daughter Angela Walker, of the home, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss her.

A Home Going Celebration is scheduled, Saturday, January 11, 2025, 2:00 p.m. House of Winn Funeral Home, "Precious Memories Chapel" 607 E. 5th Street, Okmulgee, OK; with her great nephew, Rev. Phillip Williams delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Okmulgee, OK.

Visitation will be Friday, January 10, 2025, 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
