Lewis Edwards, age 74, of Wagoner, the son of the late Madie Edwards Sr. and Annie Mae Edwards. He was born July 7, 1945 in Camden, Arkansas. He departed this life January 7, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
He received his early education at Lafayette School in Camden, Arkansas, then moved to Sand Springs, Oklahoma where he finished his schooling at Booker T. Washington High School.
Lewis later received his CDL License to become a truck driver. He drove cross country for several years, then drove local for Mid-Continent Truck Company. His lifetime sport and hobby was fishing.
Lewis was preceded in death by his Father, Madie Edwards Sr., Sister Linda Edwards and two brothers Madie Edwards Jr. and Harron James Edwards.
He is Survived by his wife Marion Edwards, her daughter Marlanta Foye and Marion's two grandchildren Standric and Mareisha Foye. Also he leaves to mourn his mother Annie Mae Edwards, his four children from a previous marriage Joe Lewis, Clifton Wayne, Gary Edwards and Tracie Alexander Edwards (husband Dexter), four brothers Clifton (wife Teresa), Charley, Milton and Willie Edwards, two sisters, Brenda Elliot, Donnie Smith (husband Don) four sisters-in-law Betty McConnell (husband Robert), Charlie Bills, Linda Clark (husband Rev. Larry), Kathy Alexander Kimble and two brothers-in-law, Larry (Loretta) Foye, Rev. Jerry (Tina) Alexander, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and acquaintances.
Home Going Service will be Saturday, January 18, 2020, 11:00 a.m., Pilgrims Faith Ministries Church, 723 S. 3 rd St, Muskogee, OK, Rev. Jerry Alexander Eulogist. Interment will follow in Booker T. Washington Cemetery, Muskogee, OK
Visitation will be Friday, January 17, 2020, 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
