Lillian Joyce Harlin, born October 9th, 1944, to Charlestine Wilburn and Dayton Harris in Muskogee, OK.
Lillian was a quiet and reserved home body that loved to read. She grew up on the east side of Muskogee by the train tracks in what was affectionately known as "Mill Street."
Lillian was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She loved to be in the house working and helping her mother out around the house. She was known as the cornbread maker and "Cat Eyes" growing up. She had a passion for doing hair and taking care of people. Her spiritual journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and her unwavering faith in God. Lillian's passing leaves behind a void in the hearts of her family and friends and the many lives that she touched.
Lillian graduated from Historic Manual Training in 1962, after graduation she received her State License for Cosmetology, and she received her LPN certification from Muskogee General. She worked many years as an LPN for different nursing homes and spent time working in the factory at Georgia Pacific.
She was a faithful member and Usher of New Zion Baptist Church.
Lillian gave birth to her first child, Barbara, in 1964; Bobby was born in 1965 and Lisa in 1966. Later, she met and married Mose Harlin and she gave birth to a fourth child, Christopher.
Lillian was preceded in death by her father, Dayton, her mother, Charlestine, and her husband, Mose and brother Terry.
Lillian is survived by her sisters Noran, Saundra, and Charla (Ernie); two brothers Ronnie (Deborah) and Roy (Mona); four children: daughter Barbara, son Bobby, daughter Lisa, and son Christopher (Chardae), along with 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
A Home Going service is scheduled Saturday, March 8, 2025, 11:00 a.m., Rayfield Baptist Church, 601 Indianapolis Street, Muskogee, OK; with Rev. Joshua Mitchell, delivering the eulogy.
Visitation will be Friday, 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Interment is scheduled Monday, March 10, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, OK
