Lillian Faye Payne-Moore was born in Boynton, Oklahoma on April 10, 1926. She was the fifth child born to the union of Curtis and Ruthie Payne.

She gave her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Lone Tree Baptist Church where she also attended grade school.

She united in marriage to Charlie Moore in 1943 and eventually moved to Kansas City, Missouri, to this union two children were born, a daughter Ruth Moore (Nash), and a son Gale Moore.

She attended Penn Valley Community College and Business College. She worked at various jobs, as a licensed beautician, a nurse's aide and an administrative assistant before retiring at the age of 70 years old.

She enjoyed singing and playing the piano. She sang in the choir and played piano at Progressive Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a devoted member for many years and eventually moved to a house across the street, along with her mother and sister.

She moved to Oklahoma City to be near family in 2003. She later joined Western Avenue Baptist Church where she continued to worship and spread her love for the Lord.

She was known for her straightforwardness, her confidence, her strength and wit. She had an infectious laugh and loved sharing stories of the good ole days with family and friends.

She had a flair for style and loved to dress up, wear hats and her jewels, as she called them.
