Linda Mae
Collins
October 16, 1959 – August 30, 2025
Linda Mae Collins was born on October 16, 1959, in Checotah, Oklahoma, to Walter and Wanda Coleman. She departed this world on August 30, 2025, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Linda was a woman of unlimited love and selfless giving. She lived a humble life, never hesitating to help those who were in need and never met a stranger. Linda was raised in a simpler time when love was freely given, and she built on that foundation as she taught her children right from wrong. While raising her children, she worked as a nurse, serving the elderly in local nursing homes and sharing her love with each patient she encountered. Her loving heart was admired by many. However, Linda didn't just show her love for people; she showed love to all of God's creation. When Linda wasn't with her family, she could be found among the flowers and plants.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, Walter Coleman, husband Okie Lawson, and husband Mark Collins.Linda leaves behind a host of family and friends including her mother: Wanda Coleman, twin sister: Donna Davidson, three brothers: David Coleman, Kenny Coleman and Nathanial Coleman, her children: David Lawson and his wife Amanda, LaWanda Lawson and her husband Jeffrey, Brandon Ellis, Nick Lawson, Jarred Lawson, and Genievia (Beth) Weidler and her husband Stephen, grandchildren: David Jr., Levi, Mackenzie, Kason, Pepper, Dereck, Aidyn, Brentley, Avyna, Emerson, Lilo, and Stephen Jr., and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service is scheduled, Monday, September 8, 2025, 11:00 a.m., Shady Grove Full Gospel Church, Checotah, OK.
