Obituary

"And God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul." Genesis 2:7

On December 3, 1926, a daughter was born to Joe and Leona Green in Muskogee, OK. They named her Margaret. She was the youngest of three children.

"In fact, also, when we were with you, we gave you this rule:  If anyone does not want to work, neither let him eat." Thessalonians 3:10

Margaret began her education at Dunbar Elementary and continuing on to Sadler Jr. High and graduated Historic Manual Training High School with the class of 1944. Margaret served as a bailiff for Judge Lyle Burris in Muskogee District Court and she also enjoyed being a homemaker.

"Further, God blessed them and God said to them: Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it." Genesis 1:28

Margaret was united in marriage to Herbert R. Terrell. To this union six children were born. Margaret was a loving and faithful wife, mother, and grandmother.  Preceding her in death is her husband, a daughter, Patricia, a son Darrell Sr.

" Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will acknowledge him before my Father in heaven…" Matthew 10:32

Margaret accepted Christ at an early age and was a lifelong member of New Zion Baptist Church.

"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4

Those left to witness her home going are her four sons: Henry (LeeAnna) Terrell, Muskogee, OK, Herbert R. (Doris) Terrell, Jr., Muskogee, OK, Randy J. (Heika) J. Terrell, Killeen, TX, Jay (Bisrat Ghebreigziabher) Terrell, Maynor, TX, 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

A Home Going Service will be conducted on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 12 noon, New Zion Baptist Church, 901 N. 3rd St., Muskogee, OK, Rev. Gary Mitchum eulogizing. Interment will follow in Booker T. Washington Cemetery, Muskogee, OK. Visitation in the Precious Memories Chapel, Friday, 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

The family has been cared for by House of Winn Funeral Home-Muskogee.
