Jones
July 22, 1938 – May 22, 2025
Born on July 22, 1938, in Mt Vernon, Ohio, Marie was one of three children born to Howard and Mary Stevens.
A bright and determined student, Marie graduated from Mt Vernon Public Schools and later pursued higher education at Central State University in Ohio. Throughout her life, she held various jobs, always applying herself with passion and commitment, including assisting her beloved husband, Cordell J. Jones, with his work in computers.
Marie met Cordell in Columbus, Ohio, in 1970, and together they built a life filled with love and shared interests. She was an active member of the Oklahoma Home and Community Education of Okmulgee County, Green Fingers, and Crochet Club organizations that allowed her to express her creativity and connect with others.
