Marsha Colbert, 62, a former resident of Okmulgee,OK transitioned, Sunday, Feb.23,2014
in Jones, OK.
Marsha Jo Colbert was born May 9, 1951 to Joseph Boyd and Alnetta Holt in Topeka, KS.
She met and married the love of her life, Ivan Colbert. They were married over forty plus years on Valentine's Day.
She professed a love for Christ at an early age. She joined the New Salem Baptist Church where she was a faithful member serving as secretary for a number of years. Marsha would attend Sunday school and worship service every Sunday.
Marsha Jo enjoyed a game of Dominoes and Spades.
Preceding her in death are her parents and husband.
Survivors include, three sons,
Gale Lawton, Galen Lawton, Ivan Colbert Jr.; one daughter, Ivari Colbert; one brother, Gallen Goston, and 5 grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted Friday, February 28, 2014, 2:00 p.m., at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Pastor Jerry Bertler, eulogist.
The family has been cared for by House of Winn Funeral Home.
