Marvin Anthony Robinson, 56, truck driver, a resident of Okmulgee, OK; passed away, July 3, 2014, in a VA Medical Center, OKC.
On March 9, 1958 a bouncing baby boy was born to Bernice Wilson and Marvin Robinson in Okmulgee, OK. Soon after Marvin experienced a temporary medical condition, which left him to spend time with his grandparents Ma-Ma and Papa. Marvin was the oldest of six children and the youngest of twelve (aunts and uncles). He attended school in Los Angeles, CA. and moved to Perris, CA; in 1975 where he graduated from Perris High School in 1976. Soon after he enlisted in the United States Army, receiving a medical discharge. Over the years he has attended several vocational schools and was the jack of all trades.
He was preceded in death by his father, his step-father, George Ashley, both grandparents, Cecilia and Sandow Wilson, and many of his aunts, uncles, cousins and his nephew Randolph Rankins Jr.
He leaves to mourn his death, four daughters, Marvia Robinson and Marvica Robinson of TX, Helena Robinson of CA, Alegend Baxter of OK, two sons, Glenn Robinson of CA, Raysean Robinson of NV and a step-son, Tyjuan Christian. Six grandchildren, Robert Holmes III, Christian and Ryan Ward of TX, Tyshawn Weems of CA, Khiry Tindall of OK, Kourtney and Kyle Robinson of CA, three brothers, calvin (Cathy) Robinson of CA, Jerry Robinson and Randolph Rankins of OK, two sisters, Diane Rankins and Julie (Norman) Taylor of OK and most important, his mother, Bernice Ashley of OK; along with a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
A Service of Memory will be conducted, Monday, July 14, 2014, 12 noon, in Precious Memories Chapel.
Inurnment will be Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Ft. Gibson National Cemetery
