Maud Esther
Etheridge

Maud Esther was born in Houston, TX on July 14, 1923 to the union of Frank Etheridge and Letha Cunningham.
She received her formal education and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, Eufaula, OK in 1941.
Maud lived in Houston, TX and Wichita, KS working as a housekeeper and cook. She returned home to Eufaula in 1951 to raise her three sons who were the love of her life.
Maud was a member of Dickerson Chapel A.M.E. where she once served as treasurer.
Her hobbies were baking, caring for plants and she liked to stay informed.
Preceding her in death are her parents, one son, Howard; six brothers, and one sister.
She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons, Bernard (Jodi) Dixon of Eufaula, OK, and Elliott (Latrave) Etheridge of Muskogee, OK; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, Perry Nichols (special angel), relatives and friends.
A Home Going Service is scheduled Saturday, November 10, 2018, 1:00 p.m., Sulphur Springs Baptist Church, 244 Harrison Ave., Eufaula, OK; with Rev. Dwight Porter, eulogizing.
Visitation will be Friday, 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
