Michael Eugene Caves was born on August 3, 1960 to Roland Caves and Patricia (Schroor) Caves in Tulsa, OK.

Michael enlisted in the US Army in 1979 and was honorably discharged. Mike worked in Masonry Design and Ornamental Stone, his passion was to be outside creating art in the landscape. Mike also enjoyed writing Poems and Drawing.

Michael transitioned on March 3, 2023 in Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center, Muskogee, OK.

Those left to cherish his memories are his sister, Cynthia Thornton, a nephew: Michael Thornton, three nieces: Jamie Bronnenberg, Kimberly Reardon and Kelsey Matty along with other family and friends.

Graveside Rites are scheduled Tuesday, March 12, 2024, 2:30 p.m., Ft. Gibson National Cemetery, 1423 Cemetery Road, Ft. Gibson, OK; with Rev. Larry Cato offering Words of Encouragement to the family. Military honors performed by Oklahoma National Honor Guard.
