On December 4, 2013, Mornin Denise Starr also known by many as Angel, was called home to be with the Lord. Born, March 31, 1965 to Tommy Starr and Josephine Starr. She was the third of five children.

She graduated from Withrow High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. She also attended Bryant Institute in Tulsa, Oklahoma. At the time of her death she was assistant manager of Kentucky Fried Chicken in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She had been married to Rev. Elwood Jones, Pastor of Harris Chapel Baptist Church, Twin Hills, Oklahoma. There were no children born in this union.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine Collins.

She leaves to mourn, her father, Tommy Starr, three children, LaTosha, Aaron, and Steven Starr, three grandchildren, Ziaire, Brooklyn, and Jordyn, three sisters, Stephanie Brown, Dawn Starr, and Sheila Starr, one brother, Shawn Starr, also an extended family John, Leota, Elizabeth, Karen, Leon and Robert as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A Service of Memory will be conducted Saturday, December 14, 2013, 11:00 a.m., Tabernacle Baptist Church, 1628 N. Madison, Tulsa, OK; with Rev. Bryan Stallings, eulogizing. Interment will follow in Green Acres cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, 1-6 p.m.

The family has been cared for by the Winn family at House of Winn Funeral Home.
