On March 31, 1954, Morris Ezell English was born to Charles R. English Sr. and Rosie (Lowe) English in Cathey, Oklahoma. He was the 7th of 14 children.
The family moved to Muskogee, OK in 1957. Morris attended Douglas Elementary, Sadler middle school, Manual Training High School and graduated from Muskogee High School. He excelled in Track and Field. He was also a perfectionist wood work.
Later he developed a love for breeding horses and entering in horse races. He loved to fish and BBQ.
He met and fell in love with Deborah Cullom and shared a life together for 53 years. To this union they were blessed with three sons; Miran Ezell and Roshun DeVare and Terrance Cortez.
Morris worked for the Union Pacific Railroad 34 years before retiring in 2019.
On Sunday morning, March 16, 2025 Morris received with his heavenly rest in the Lord being reunited with his son, Roshun, parents and siblings.
Morris is preceded in death by his son, Roshun Devare English; parents; Charles and Rosie English; brothers; Arthur Lee and Leroy English; and sisters; Joyce Marie English and Betty Jean (English) Beck.
He leaves to cherish the memory of his life; his wife, Deborah of the home; sons; Miran English of Muskogee, OK; Terrance Whitfield of Tulsa, OK; sisters; Queen Jamerson of Detroit, MI, Linda English and Tina English of Tulsa, OK, Wanda Warrior and DeShun Sutton of Muskogee, OK, brothers; Charles English (Doris) of Oklahoma City, OK, Harold English and Andre English of Muskogee, OK and Arnold English of Sherman, TX, plus a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, 4 aunts, 2 uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and host of friends.
A Home Going Service is scheduled, Saturday, March 22, 2025, 11:00 a.m., Rayfield Baptist Church, 601 Indianapolis Street, Muskogee, OK; with Pastor Leroy Walker Sr., delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in Doyle Cemetery, Yahola, OK.
Visitation will be Friday, 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
