Obituary

Mulford "Muffin Conner, 62, a resident of Okmulgee, OK; transitioned, Saturday, May 7, 2016 at St Francis Health System, Tulsa, OK.

On January 5th, 1954 a baby boy was born to Floyd Conner and Lola Jackson in Beggs, Oklahoma. They named him Mulford Conner.

Mulford grew up in Okmulgee and attended school in Okmulgee school system and at Dunbar.
Mulford gave his life to Jesus at an early age and re-dedicated his life to the lord in 2001.
He became a deacon at Mt.Calvary Baptist Church. He loved his church and church family. He loved greeting people as they came in to worship.

Mulford worked as a steel worker at various steel mills in Texas and Oklahoma for many years. In his spare time, Mulford enjoyed going to church, watching TVland and crime shows, also spending time with family. Mulford affectionately touched the lives of many people and was considered a friend by all who knew him. He was always called "Muffin".

On May 9th,2016, Mulford entered the land of Glory after a brief illness.

He was preced in death by his parents, his son, Pannell Conner; his sister, Mary Conner, four brothers, Joe Conner, Floyd Conner, Jordan Conner and Earnest Jackson, and a nephew Dominick Craig.

He leaves to lament his earthly transition, one son, DaLaren Zo Gardner Tulsa, OK; two grandchildren; Zoe and Zaymar Gardner, Tulsa, OK; two brothers; Raymond Conner, Windfield, KS; and Early (Carolyn) Nero, Grayson, OK; two sisters; Ella Nero Okmulgee, OK and Opal Murdock, Duncan, OK; six nieces, Demita Newman, Oklahoma City, OK; Ginger Tunley, Tulsa, OK; Glenda (James) Hannah, Okumlgee, OK; Kelita Conner, Okmulgee, OK; Kelly Craig,Tulsa, OK; Neci Collins, Tulsa, OK; three nephews; Johnny (Edith) Tunley, Tulsa, OK; Earl (Sharon) Tunley, Muskogee, OK; Fred Conner, Okmulgee, OK; 35 great nieces and nephews, 41 great-great nieces and nephews.


A Service of Memory is scheduled for Saturday, May 14, 2016, 11:00 a.m., Precious Memories Chapel, 607 E. 5th Street, Okmulgee, OK.

Visitation will be Friday, 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

The family has been cared for by House of Winn Funeral Home.
