Obituary

Napoleon Eugene Manous, 60, a resident of Tulsa, OK; formerly of Okmulgee, OK; passed away, Monday, December 30, 2013.
Napoleon Eugene Manous, known to the family and friends as "Sam," was born to Jesse Carl and Wilma lee Manous on July 29, 1953. He was the fourth of thirteen children.

Napoleon attended school in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He enlisted in the United States Army where he served as a Medic. He worked for the VA Administration for a number of years.

Napoleon met and married Joan Abernathy. Together they parented five children.

He loved to travel and resided in Utah, Oregon, Arizona, Washington, Nebraska and Nevada before returning permanently to Oklahoma. He had great artistic skills and loved to sing and draw. He also had great love for music, racing cars, telling jokes, and people.

Napoleon was preceded in death by his parents, one son, and two brothers. He departed this life on December 30, 2013, in Tulsa, OK.

He leaves to cherish his memories: two sons: David Manous and Richard Adjaye (Ayana), Oklahoma City, OK; two daughters: Michelle Green (Rodney), and Georgina Adjaye, Oklahoma City, OK; four brothers: Howard (Wanda), District Elder, Larry Manous (Elizabeth), John Manous, Oklahoma City, OK and Verdell Smith (Felicia), Bartlesville, OK: six sisters: Lonzetta Fonteno, Stella Barnett (Bill), Diane Manous, Okmulgee, OK, Vanessa Goudeau, Carmelia Wheaton, LaPetra Stevens, Tulsa, OK; and adopted sister Beneathra Robinson, Okmulgee, OK: nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two aunts, Dorothy Moore, Oklahoma City, OK; and Elizabeth Miller, Beggs, OK, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A Home Going service will be conducted Saturday, January 11, 2014, 3:00 p.m., Precious Memories Chapel, 607 E. Fifth Street, Okmulgee, OK.

Interment will be Tuesday, January 14, 2014, 2:00 p.m., Ft. Gibson National Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, 1 - 6 p.m.
