Nathaniel Strong Jr. was born January 8, 1963, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to Nathaniel Strong, Sr. and Juanita Fields Strong. 

He departed this life on June 15, 2026.Nathaniel Jr. received his education in the Okmulgee Public School system.

“Pick” as he was affectionately called by his family and friends or those that knew him.

He met and married the love of his life, Jean Bell Strong on December 6, 1995 some 31 years ago. 

Pick was a jovial person who loved to laugh and joke around, and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was also a strong-willed and prideful man.

He loved to hunt, fish, travel and play in his garden. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Katheryn Lorraine Strong.

Those left to cherish his memory include, his wife, Jean Strong, of the home, daughters, Calvia Demery and LaWanda Pargo, granddaughters, Layeonna Demery, Asia Pargo and Andrea Mitchell, his siblings, Marcus Strong, Robert Strong, and Michael Strong, all of Tulsa, OK; LaRonda Strong and Shalonda Wright, both of Broken Arrow, OK; and Eric Strong, Eufaula, OK; along with other family members and friends that will miss him.

A Home Going Service is scheduled Friday, June 26, 2026, 1:00 p.m., Osage Avenue Chrisitan Church, 1101 E. Smith Street, Okmulgee, OK; with Rev. Osborn Lowe, delivering the eulogy.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 25, 2026, 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. in House of Winn-Okmulgee, "Precious Memories Chapel".

The family has been cared for by House of Winn-Okmulgee
