Norma Anita Cross McDaniel was born in Okmulgee, OK on March 29, 1941 to Harry Daniel Cross Jr. and Elsie Louise Norman Cross. Norma was a graduate of Okmulgee Dunbar High School class of 1959. She accepted Christ at a very young age and was a member of Shorter Chapel AME Church. Norma was a homemaker, wife to her late husband Eugene Olen McDaniel, mother and a loving granny to her grandchildren.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents Harry Cross Jr., Mother Elsie Louise Norman Cross, brother Harry Cross III and sister Birdie Cross Willis.

She leaves behind 8 loving children, Karen Franklin Thompson, Sharronez Cross, Anita Delonia (Donnie), Natalie Walker (Charles), Sean McDaniel, Roderick McDaniel, Bryan McDaniel Sr., Norma Louise McDaniel Jr., sister, Pastor Carolyn Gill and brother Don Levant Cross, 16 grandchildren, Terrance Jackson, Timothy Cross, Derek Cross, Angel Taylor (Kenyaté), Andre McDaniel, Martese Hammon (Candice), Stephanie Penn, Stassa Johnson (Monnie), Chanteon Davis, Mical Hammon, Kendall McDaniel, Darius Tiger, Renee Tiger, Brenae Tiger, Bryan McDaniel Jr., Brandon McDaniel, niece, Claudia Fordham, nephews Darryl Willis, Chad Alan Stewart and great nephews Jeremy Fordham and Marcus Williams as well as a host of great grandchildren and extended family.

A Home Going Celebration will be conducted,  2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 29, 2020 in St. Matthew Baptist Church, 1001 E. Chicago St., Okmulgee, OK.  Interment will follow in Sharps Memorial Garden in Okmulgee.

Visitation, Friday, 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
