Obituary

Osie Winn Jr. was born on September 15, 1947, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, the handsome son of Osie Winn Sr. and Catherine Winn-Swift.  He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age at Lane Chapel CME Church in Muskogee, Oklahoma.  He also was a devoted member of Simpson United Methodist Church in New Castle County, Delaware and Calvary Chapel in Melbourne, Florida.

In 1965, Osie graduated from Manual Training High School in Muskogee, Oklahoma.  Osie continued his education in the states of Kansas and Oklahoma.  After school, he moved to Indiana for a few years, and then to the state of Delaware for over thirty years.

Osie initially started working for Dupont ChemicalCompany in Wilmington, Delaware. After some years he began working at Computer Science Corporation (CSC) as an IT Administrator.  After working  for Dupont and CSC for over 30 years, he retired in 2006, and relocated to sunny Palm Bay, Florida.

On February 8, 2025, Osie answered the Master's call at the age of 77 in his home surrounded by family.  Osie had an unwavering Faith in God, his Faith only grew stronger in his final years of life.  Osie could best be described to someone who did not know him as an unassuming, kind, quiet, and loving man.

Osie was a devoted son, brother and friend.

He leaves to treasure his memories his siblings:  Reverand James (Joyce) Harrison of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Shirley Winn (Warren) Roy of Las Vegas, Nevada, Sheila Woeger of Erie, Pennsylvania, Reverand Jeremiah Swift of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Dr. Francine Swift of Austin, Texas, Kathryn (Tommy) McGriff of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Calva Edwards of Houston, Texas, and Sharon Swift-Russell ofLas Vegas, Nevada; sister-in-law, Cheryl Swift of Allen, Texas; his childhood life-long best friend, Berta Norwoodof Las Vegas, Nevada, and devoted friends Ma and Susan Mathews of Melbourne, Florida, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

A Home Going Service is scheduled, Saturday March 8, 2025, 1:00 p.m., House of Winn Funeral Home & Cremations, "Precious Memories Chapel", 2200 Military Blvd., Muskogee, OK.

Visitation will be Friday, 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
