Parthine "Missy"
Thompson
June 19, 1958 – September 24, 2018
On June 19, 1958, Ora Lee Simpson and Willie Cooper, Sr. welcomed a baby girl into the world. Although they named their little bundle of joy, Parthine Cooper, she quickly became known to her family and friends as "Missy".
"Missy" accepted Christ at a young age when she received her baptism at Four Mile Branch Baptist Church.
She received her primary education at Norwood Elementary School. She got her diploma from Hulbert High School then continued her education at Bacone College, Muskogee, OK.
Missy, worked a number of jobs before her health began to fail. She was employed at Western Hill Lodge, Muskogee Nursing Center and Fort Gibson Nursing Home was her last place of employment until she was called home.
On July 18, 2018, Missy had the fight of her life, and although she fought a courageous battle, God wanted her next to him. On September 24, 2018 he took her by the hand and said, "It's time to go home my child, job well done." When the gates of Heaven swing open she will take her seat next to her grandparents, step-father, Theopolis Mayfield, her brother, Clarence "Hicks" Grimmett, her sisters, Shamita Cooper-Jackson, Audrey Cooper, Faye Cooper and Cheryl Cooper.
As Missy accepts her wings in heaven she will look down upon those she leaves behind with a celebrating smile. Her Parents, Willie Cooper Sr., Muskogee, OK; and Ora Lee Mayfield, Ft. Gibson, OK; her two sons, Phillip Thompson, OKC, OK; and William (Dominique) Thompson, Ft.
