Obituary

A baby girl was born to Alfred R. Thompson and Georgia Ann Thompson on July 16, 1956 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was given the name, Patricia Ann Thompson. When she was a young girl her family moved to Muskogee, OK.

She was baptized at an early age under the late Theodore Hickerson, at Saint Mark Baptist Church after confessing her hope in Christ. Patricia Ann attended Dunbar and Douglas Schools in Muskogee and Alice Robertson High School where she loved running track and high hurdles and the 100 meter dash. She went on to Muskogee High School and graduated with the class of 1975. Patricia attended Connors State College for a while and soon started working at Fort Gibson Nursing Home when the Scotts owned it for 10 years. She later went to Broadway Manor where she started her career as a CNA/CMA. During this time she met and married Sloke Clemons Jr. To this union a son was born James Clarence Clemons and he died March 31, 1994. Patricia pushed through this trial although she carried this dear to her heart. She helped raise her nephews as her own and soon the nieces came along. She was a dedicated and hard worker. She later became Assist Activities Director at Broadway Manor. Patricia retired after 38 years at Broadway Manor on November 13, 2024.

Patricia loved family gatherings and outings were a delight. She loved to shop with family, especially her sisters and nieces. Patricia had faith to believe no matter what till the end. "It's nothing like family," is what she would often say. She would also say, "repent and forgive, and show love towards one another."

Patricia went home to be with the Lord, December 23, 2024.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Sloke Clemons, son, James Clarence Clemons, parents, grandparents, paternal grandparents; siblings Ruby, Cynthia, Alfred Jr, and Kathy Thompson-Anderson.

She leaves to cherish her memory one sister, Sheri Mitchum, 2 sister in-laws Joann Brewster and Joyce Sanders, a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and aunts and uncles and a host of cousins.
