Pearline G.
Wallace
February 27, 1927 – November 29, 2022
Pearline Geneva Thompson Wallace
Pearline Geneva Thompson Wallace, 95, of Moore, OK , passed away on November 29, 2022 of natural causes.
Pearline was born on February 27, 1927 to Ollie and Lillie Thompson in Lockesburg, AR and grew up in New Hope, OK. She graduated from Manual Training High School in Muskogee, OK. Her favorite cheer was MTHS purple and white dynamite, fight, fight, fight. She attended Connors State College, then joined The Order of the Eastern Star and started her career in healthcare. She worked as a supervisor for dietary services for the VA Hospital for 30 years. Pearline retired and spent her time in church auxiliary groups and caring for family.
Pearline married James Wallace. Pearline was a proud mother of four children, Ruby Faye, Donald, Annette, and Armetta. Pearline's impact was reflected in each of her children. Ruby Faye reflected her devotion to civil service. Pearline was filled with pride in each of Ruby Faye's political endeavors and most importantly Ruby Faye's ministering the word of God. Much like Pearline, Donald naturally fills a room with joy. She proudly showcased his artwork in her home. Similar to Pearline, Annette was a support to many. She would make sure Pearline didn't miss a family reunion, which was Pearline's favorite reason to travel. Armetta reflected the wisdom of Pearline and would never miss a family member's birthday. Like Pearline, she happily offered a word of prayer to all in need of it.
She was passionate about supporting each of her grandchildren that served our country. It filled her with pride to talk about each of her grandchildren and all they had accomplished.
It was important to Pearline that every Christmas she provide her great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren a gift for Christmas. Everyone else had to stand in line for a slice of her German Chocolate cake. Pearline excelled at propping up her family and friends and supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives.
Pearline belonged to St. Mark Baptist Church all her adult life until she moved to Oklahoma City and attended Word of Life Deliverance Ministry. Pearline was a dedicated member of The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE) and served at the state level. She served as VP of the Local Muskogee AFGE Association of Federal Government Employees. She wanted retired federal workers to be aware of their civil service benefits they earned and was dedicated to supporting political efforts to preserve benefits for them and their families.
Pearline was predeceased by her parents Lillie and Ollie, each of her 11 siblings, Beatrice, Robert, Lester, Eddie Belle, Bessie, Reeder, Maceo, Velma, Ozell, Evelina, Susie, husband James, grandson Oster Trois Woolridge III, and great grandson Jourdan Woolridge. She is survived by her children Ruby Faye, Donald(Georgia), Annette(Billy), and Armetta, 7 grandchildren, Robert, DeAndrea, Cornell(Candace), Donald Jr.(Alfreada), Rachel(Morris), Robyn(Steven), and Amber, and her 14 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pearline immediately lit up any room she entered and made an impact on so many people. She was a joyful presence along with her siblings at each family reunion. She loved her friends, neighbors, and church family, and filled her home with warmth and kindness.
Services will be held at St. Mark Baptist Church on December 3, 2022 at 11:00am. Her favorite colors were purple and white, and we would like her celebration of life to be full of purple.
