Peggy Smith, 60, homemaker, a resident of Okmulgee, OK; passed away, Tuesday, March 10, 2015 in Muscogee Creek Nation Medical Center.

To all things there is a season. A season for life and a season for death. On March 7, 1955 in Pierce, Oklahoma, a season of life was provided to Peggy L. Smith through the union of Clara love and Herbert Horton.

At an early age Peggy moved with her family to Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Peggy graduated from Okmulgee High School with the Class of 1974.

She later met and married the love of her life, Richard C. Smith, Sr. To this union five children were born.

Peggy worked as a health care provider at Okmulgee Terrace and at home daycare.

She professed a love for Christ at an early age. After many happy years of sharing God's love to all she knew, along with providing joy, comfort and guidance to her family and friends, her task was complete. Peggy's season of life was peacefully ended, March10, 2015.

Preceding her in death are her parents, two sisters, Loretta Dansby and Gwendolyn Love, and a brother, Ronnie.

Those left to cherish Peggy's memories, her daughter, Demetrias Smith, Okmulgee, OK; sons, Bennie Jones, Richard (Donna) Smith II , all of Tulsa, OK; Kendris (Toi) Smith, Okmulgee, OK; Webb (Kristina) Smith III, Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Richard L. Smith III, Reishawn Gardner, Kendel Smith, Kennedy SmithChaness, Khloe and Chasidy Smith, sisters, Charlotte Stallings, Okmulgee, OK; Leona Horton, Kansas City, MO; Patricia Love, Tulsa, OK; brothers, Tommie Love, Tulsa, OK; Vincent and Rodney, Oklahoma City, OK; Herbert and David Horton, Wichita, KS; three aunts, 3 uncles, and a host of nieces nephews, cousins and friends.

A Home Going service will be conducted Saturday, March 21, 2015, 1:00 p.m., St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church, 1001 E. Chicago, Okmulgee, OK; with Rev. Terrence Reed, eulogizing. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
