Obituary

Queen Esther Jordan was born August 7, 1935 to Felton Manuel and Hazel Wilkins Strong in Okmulgee, OK. She was the oldest of 8 children.

Queen Esther attended Okmulgee Public Schools. She also was educated at the historic Dunbar High School.

Queen accepted Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of Cleaves Memorial C.M.E.

Queen was loved by many and the proof was told by the attendance of her parties. She was natural homemaker and care giver to all.

Queen went home to be with the Lord, August 28, 2014, surrounded by family.

Preceding her in death are her late husband, Charles F. Jordan, a daughter, Linda Evans, and sons, Donnell Evans, Terry Evans, and Arlantus Evans.

Those left to cherish memories of Queen are her children, Ronald Lee Evans, Samuel Evans, both of Tulsa, OK; Dwight Evans, Steve Jordan, Garland Jordan, Joyce Drew, Alma Evans, and Yolanda Evans, all of Okmulgee, OK; Charles Jordan, Angela Jordan Perry, Quanton Moody, Mark Jordan, Derrick Jordan all of Oklahoma City, OK; brothers, John Henry Strong, Joe Renee Strong, Lawrence Wilson, and sisters, Dorothy Richmond and Dorothy Lois, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss her.

A Home Going Celebration will be conducted, Saturday September 6, 2014, 1:00 p.m. in Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1500 N. Miami, Okmulgee, OK. Interment to follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
