February 23, 1963 * Blissteen Goudeau-Jackson and Grant Jackson Jr. were blessed with a son, Raymond Jackson (last one).
January 10, 2024 * while at home on Hospice at age 60, Raymond Jackson Sr. Departed this world to everlasting life. A host of loved ones preceded him in death: 1st wife, Millicent D. Davis-Jackson; parents, Blissteen Goudeau and Grant Jackson Jr.; brothers, Grant Jackson III, Walter Jackson & Ronnie Joe Jackson, nephew, Lance A. Davis, grandparents; Nellie Greenleaf & Ragel G. Goudeau and Thelma Scroggins & Grant Jackson Sr. and all the aunts and uncles.
Raymond Jackson Sr. * graduated from Checotah High School and attended Connors State College. He matriculated to NSU-Tahlequah where he received a Bachelors' Degree. He worked in the Plant Nursery industry in Tahlequah for many years where he met and married Maria Julia Juarez. His next job adventure was with DalTile, where he was employed until his passing. Raymond made friends for life at DalTile, like Matt Owens and Luis Gil and a host of others.
Raymond Jackson Sr. * Leaves behind to celebrate his life: his wife, Maria Julia Jackson; daughters, Amber Deanne Jackson (Grand-Kiayan Phoenix Shanklin), LuLu Juarez (Grands-Malen, Jair & Leilani), Pamela Juarez (Grands-Joshua, Casey, Zoe & Iker), sons, Raymond Jackson II, Misael Juarez (Grands- Amaya, Juby, Christopher & Rosalinda). His brother, Jerry L. Jackson, sisters, Cheryl S. Jackson, Debra A. Jackson & Nellie C. Jackson, nieces & nephews, Kina Richard, Shatal, Kevin, Jeff, Toni, Christopher, Shellana, Grant IV, Shawn, Kendall, jasmine, Jade, Jarren, Hassan, Jerica, Jakari, Michael & John along with a host of grands, great grands, nieces and nephews.
A Home Going Celebration will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., in the Mt. Olive Star Baptist Church, 413665 E 1080 Rd, Checotah, OK with Rev. Samuel Cunningham delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in Warrior Cemetery, Checotah, OK. Public visitation will be held on Friday, January 19th during the hours of 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the Precious Memories Chapel, House of Winn Funeral Home & Cremations, 2200 Military Blvd, Muskogee, OK.
