Obituary

" And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." Genesis 2:7

On August 13, 1950, a son was born to Raymond Welston Tucker and Barbara Jean (Wilson)Tucker in Okmulgee, Ok. They name him Raymond Darnell Tucker. This marriage was dissolved. Barbara met and was united in marriage to Oliver Williams Jr. and the family moved to Grayson, OK

" For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat." 2 Thessalonians 3:10

Raymond began his education in the Grayson School System thru the 11 th grade.  And graduated from Morris High School in 1968. He was enlisted in the U. S. Navy from (1969-1971) with an honorary discharge. He worked for Troy's Tire Service in Oakland CA, where Troy Chess taught him the ins and outs of the tire business. Raymond moved back to Oklahoma and started his own tire service called T & T Tire Service. He also worked for AAA of Oklahoma, Parmaley Wrecker Service, and was taxi driver and Owner of T and T Connections "DJ" service. Retired as a volunteer firefighter for the Town of Grayson.

Raymond was united in marriage to Dianne Duffie in Oakland CA. To this union a daughter Shawna Tucker was born and, in this union, he proudly took on the title of "Father" to Felicia Guice and Tate Guice III. The marriage was later dissolved.

Raymond was later united in marriage to Thelma Thompkins and to this union two sons were born Damien Tucker and Raymond Tucker Jr. This marriage was later dissolved.

On October 22, 1995 Raymond married his soulmate Wendy Clinkscale in this union he proudly took on the title of "father" to Yolanda Clinkscale. He was a loving and faithful husband, father, and grandfather. On October 22, 2022 was the 27 th year of this union.

" Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven." Matthew 10:32

Raymond accepted Christ at an early age at Union Baptist Church in Grayson OK. He became an ordained minister on June 27 1999, under the leadership of Pastor Judson Fields Jr. Raymond was called to Pastor Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Beggs Ok, were he serviced for 15 years. He also serviced as minister at St John's Baptist Church in Slick, OK, upon the closing Raymond and family returned to his home church Union Baptist Church, Grayson OK, where he served faithfully. He joined Prison Discipleship and became a prison volunteer Chaplin under the leadership of Rev. C. Steven Bradshaw. He was a devoted volunteer Chaplin at J.H. Lilley Correctional Center in Boley, OK until his health began to fail.

On February 5, 2023, God called Raymond Darnell Tucker from labor to reward. He was Preceded in death by Parents: Oliver and Barbara Williams Jr, Raymond W. Tucker; son Damien Tucker; brother Wendell Williams; grandchildren: Alexia Tucker, Angel Tucker, Toti'ana Fantroy, Jon'lan Washington: Neice Kammye Williams: Nephew Brian Jones.

He leaves to celebrate his life a faithful wife, Wendy Tucker of the home, Daughters, Shawna Tucker, Las Vegas NV, Yolanda Clinkscale, Grayson OK, Felicia Guice, Oakland CA: Son Raymond Tucker Jr(DeNeen) Tulsa OK, Tate Guice, Sacramento CA; Sisters Ursula Rice of McKinney, Texas and Jacqueline Payne (Willie) of Houston, Texas, and Deborah Sneed (Ronnie) Wichita, KS; Brothers Leo Rice (Debbie) of Hart, Texas, Larry Tucker, Wichita, KS; and Vernon Maxwell (Penny) of Marfa, Texas; Sister-in-laws, Betty Williams of IXL, Oklahoma; Dezetta Jackson(Paul) Grayson, OK; Brother-in-Laws Jerome Gresham, Grayson, Ok, Eric Howze, Tulsa, Ok. 16 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. His life is also celebrated by uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Home Going Celebration is scheduled Saturday, February 11, 2023, 11:00 a.m., St. Matthew Baptist Church, 1001 E. Chicago Street, Okmulgee, OK; with Rev. Judson Fields, eulogizing.  Interment will be in Ft. Gibson National Cemetery, Ft. Gibson, OK on Monday, February 13, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.  Visitation will be Friday,  1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Precious Memories Chapel, House of Winn Funeral Home-Okmulgee.
