He attended Oktaha Elementary, Jr. High, and High School. Wayne was a 1985 graduate. He played basketball in elementary and Jr. High, but his love for animals lead him to become a member of the Future Farmers of America (FFA) organization.

Wayne excelled on the Cattle Judging Team, where he earned top honors for the Team. After graduation he worked for Mr. Buck Wallace eventually finding himself living and working in Arkansas for various food manufacturing companies.
