Obituary

Richard Hunter, age 99, was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Sam and Hallie Hunter. He attended Douglas School and Manual Training High School. He grew up in Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Years later he married Bernice Crumpton and they joined a holiness church under Elder Lambert. He was a World War II Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his three sisters and his wife.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sister Lucille Morris, his nephews Horace Hazelton, Darryl Morris, Darryl Jr., Christopher Morris, nieces Carol Walker and family, Clara Powell and family, Jessie Jackson, and family, Willie Mae Lightner and family and other relatives and friends.

Home Going service is scheduled for Thursday, January 23, 2020, 11:00 a.m., Precious Memories Chapel, House of Winn Funeral Home, 2200 Military Blvd, Muskogee, OK. Interment will follow in Ft. Gibson National Cemetery, Ft. Gibson, OK.

Visitation will be Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

The family has been cared for by House of Winn Funeral Home, Muskogee.
