Robert Charles Fox was born on February 3, 1936 in Grayson, Oklahoma to Myrtle Lee Farr and Charlie Fox. He departed this life on April 9, 2021 after a brief illness.
Robert attended elementary through high school in Grayson, Ok where he graduated in 1955. On January 22, 1958, he joined the Army, but received an honorable discharge later that same year. After his discharge from the military, he moved to El Centro, CA and eventually on to Los Angeles, CA.
While living in California in 1962, he began dating Ruby Jean LeGrand, whom he had known since childhood in Grayson. On June 20, 1964 they were united in marriage. Together they raised 3 children. In 1966 he began a career with Kelly Pipe as a long haul truck driver. He stayed with the company for 35 years before retiring in 2001. In 2003, he and Ruby Jean returned to Grayson, Oklahoma. During his time in the country, he enjoyed hunting and sporting his 1973 Ford Ranger Truck. This is also where they would spend the remainder of their 56 years together.
He is preceded in death by his parents Myrtle Farr and Charlie Fox, his step-father Rolie Crisp, one son David Ray Fox, and several siblings. He leaves behind to cherish his memory; his loving wife Ruby Jean Fox; three children; Tommy Lewis Jr, Lenora Lewis, and Robert Hendrix. Two sisters; Louise White and Dannella Taylor. Three brothers; Harvey Fox, Earl Crisp, and Tommie Crisp, 10 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Home Going Celebration will be conducted, Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. in Union Baptist Church, 24075 Union St., Grayson, OK, with the Pastor, Rev. Jerell Ivey, eulogizing. Interment will follow in Grayson cemetery. Visitation, Friday, April 16th in House of Winn-Okmulgee, chapel during the hours of 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.
