Robert James
Gaulden Sr..
November 10, 1967 – August 15, 2021
Robert James Gaulden was born on November 10, 1967 to Glenda Faye Porter and Robert Lester Gaulden in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Two months after Robert was born, his mother passed away and his grandmother, Francis Cato stepped in to rear him. Those who knew him well fondly called him "Bobby".
Attending school in Muskogee, Oklahoma, Bobby graduated in the Class of 1986 from Muskogee High School, home of the "Roughers." Upon graduation, he continued his zest for learning at Northeastern State University. His main field of study was Sociology and Criminal Justice. Although he left NSU; he never forgot his dream, in 2017, he graduated from Tulsa Community College with an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology.
In 1995, Robert started his career at Jesse Dunn Correctional Center in Taft, Oklahoma. After 20 years of dedicated service, Bobby retired as a Correctional Sargent.
Robert met and married Gina Gamble in 2007, although the marriage was dissolved, they remained good friends. Being the father of three beautiful children, Bobby knew that children were a blessing from God. He loved Glenda, Robert, Jr. and Brandie Gaulden and his two bonus daughters, Jaira Pierce and Dorlisa Adams that he cherished as his own, with all of his heart. Speaking with authority and walking it like he talked it, his children followed his teachings. They knew they could believe in his words and in his actions. If you knew him, you knew, he believed, everything was done in proper season.
As a young adult, Robert became a competitive boxer competing in "Tough Man Competitions". In his spare time, he loved traveling. Being a Dallas Cowboy Superfan, Bobby loved the blue and silver. No matter how the Cowboys looked at the beginning of the season, he believed, they would always be the team to beat. He loved the casino, it was a fun past-time.
Meeting at Heaven's gate is his mother, Glenda Faye Porter; grandmother, Francis Cato; paternal grandparents, Alfred and Lillie Mae Gaulden; aunt, Joyce Gaulden; uncles, Leonard Gaulden and Alfred Gaulden, Jr.
