Roderick Vincent Nicholson, 62, laborer, a resident of Muskogee, OK; transitioned Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Cornerstone Hospital, Muskogee, OK.
Roderick Nicholson was born August 26, 1953 to Kathryn Nicholson in Kansas City MO. He was the second oldest of five children.
He attended school in Muskogee graduating from Muskogee High School, the class of "1972".
He united with Grove Baptist Church and was baptized at an early age. He was a quiet person, but loved to fish. He was a laborer by trade.
Roderick dozed into the tranquil peace of eternal rest on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathryn Nicholson.
Remaining to share in his celebration, two brothers, Charlie Nicholson (Ann), Muskogee, OK; Alan Nicholson, Plano, TX; two sisters, Vanessa Topping (Ron), Muskogee, OK and Stephanie Nicholson, Denver, CO; many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends, namely Tyrone Simmons.
A Home Going service will be conducted, Saturday, January 30, 2016, 1:00 p.m., Macedonia Baptist Church, 418 W. Shawnee, Muskogee, OK; with Rev. Larry H. Smith, eulogizing. Interment will follow in Marshall Cemetery, Wybark, OK.
Visitation will be Friday 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
The family has been cared for by House of Winn Funeral Home & Cremations.
