Obituary

Rose Juanita Harris was born to the union of Dallas and Rosie (Stokes) Harris on February 22, 1941. Rose was the first child of three born to this union.

She enjoyed fixing hair, being the neighborhood gossip girl. In her early years Rose united with Jerusalem Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Yochum. Rose graduated from Manual Training High School with the class of 59. She was blessed with two children, Keith Harris and Greg Chaplin.

Rose is preceded in death by both her parents, and her son Keith Harris.

Rose leaves behind to cherish her precious memories, a son Gregory A. Chaplin, Tahlequah, OK; 4 grandchildren, Reagan Thompson, Quentin (Sarah) Chaplin, Trey Chaplin, and Kalisa Harris all of Muskogee, OK; 5 great grandchildren, Kennedy, Michael, and Kerrigan, Jayli and Kasen, all of Muskogee, OK. She also leaves behind 2 siblings, Dallas (Latecia) Harris, Oklahoma City, OK and Belzora Harris, Muskogee, OK; 2 aunts, Sadie Stokes, Los Angeles, CA and Agnas Butler, Kansas City, MO and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Home Going Service is scheduled Friday, January 6, 2017, 1:00 p.m., Precious Memories Chapel, 2200 Military Blvd, Muskogee, OK.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 5, 2017, 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

The Family has been cared for by House of Winn Funeral Home & Cremations.
